Removing tape

After lightly scoring with a utility knife, remove tape by pulling the tape “back on itself,” and away from the painted finish. Use care to avoid any lifting of the faux finish. A word of caution: “Do not pull the tape off in haste…you will regret it.” The destruction of an entire faux finished wall from one careless helper can cost hundreds of dollars and cause scheduling problems as a result of having to redo damaged walls. Faux finishes are very difficult to repair if damaged, and often the entire wall must be redone.
