A number of different things are called "gum":

• Gums, or gingiva - the soft tissue partly covering teeth

• Chewing gum

• Vegetable gums, natural gums:
  • Guar gum
  • Gum arabic

• Xanthan gum

• Gum Springs, Arkansas, a town

• Trees:
  • Gum tree (Eucalyptus; Australia and cultivated in other warm areas)
  • Black tupelo/Black gum (Tupelo, Nyssa; eastern North America)
  • Sweet-gum (Liquidambar; eastern North America and Asia)
  • Log gum
